ISK LAUNCHES A YOUNG SURVEYORS NETWORK
By Elizabeth Mulae

The ISK Young Surveyors Committee launched the Young Surveyors Network on 30th June 2016 at the Nairobi Safari Club.

The aim of the event was to bring together young members of ISK from all the chapters and to launch the Young Surveyors Network. The network will be beneficial to the young surveyors primarily as a platform to network with fellow professionals, to link young professionals with mentors who will give them career guidance and to encourage participation in ISK activities. The event was well attended by students, young professionals, ISK council members and invited guests. The bulk of attendees were student members who were eager to be involved in the networking opportunity.

The attendees had the privilege of being addressed by a variety of speakers from the surveying profession as well as those from the government. The speakers covered a range of topics concerning the young professionals ranging from career growth to ethical practice. The event was spearheaded by the Young Surveyors Chair Erastus Chege and other committee members.
